Where the restless ocean meets the shore, memory leaves its jagged, salt-stained remains. These poems navigate the fragile, liminal space between what we clutch to our chests and what the tide inevitably claims. This is a haunting collection that captures the rhythmic, salt-crusted ache of returning home.

Boateng's Coastal poems are spare and salt-bitten, and the middle section about his grandmother's shoreline is the strongest thing I've read this year. A couple of the later pieces feel thinner, but the collection earns its place on my shelf.
